Election Information, Grafton Township, Huntley

Election Judges Needed!

Democrats needed! We need you to serve as election judges for all elections!

Election Judges are responsible for the administration of election procedures in the polling place on election day. They are in the position of ensuring that the election process is administered fairly and in accordance with our laws.

Judges receive a base pay of $140. You must attend (mandatory) training sessions and serve for two years. This is very good opportunity for high school students!

Grafton Township Meetings

I’ve been attending Grafton Township meetings and I’ve learned some interesting things.

One thing I can tell you is that the working relationship between Assessor Alan Zielinski,  and Supervisor Eric Ruth, and the Grafton Board of Trustees Matthew Cooper, Sean Cratty, Thomas D. Welch, and Daniel Ziller Jr. is a difficult one if not down right contentious.

Of interest: Alan Zielinski’s office has experienced 3 labor disputes, with 4 employees in the last 6 months. There is an on going and lengthy  battle with Zielinski and a homeowner that could be resolved if Zielinksi would simply create a report.  There is also a pending lawsuit.  At one meeting I watched and listened to the Supervisor and all the Trustees  practically beg Zielinski to create the report for the homeowner. Zielinksi refused.

On January 21, 2019 I attended with my recorder and I will transcribe.
