I was appalled that our Village of Huntley would not honor an American War Hero, a PATRIOT who put his country first, even over party.
I felt this was a grevious insult to every service person and veteran who lives in Huntley.
As a resident of Sun City, where we have a large population of veterans , I took this very personally.
Is this what we want our Village to be? Are these the values of Huntley that we will follow blindly and do what we know in our hearts is not right?
Is this what we want to teach our children and students in Huntley?
I am ASHAMED of our Mayor and Village Board.
